Grizzle


In Henry Fielding’s parody The Tragedy of Tragedies, a nobleman at Arthur’s court.

He loved Huncamunca, Arthur’s daughter, and became enraged when Arthur betrothed her to the diminutive warrior Tom Thumb.

In the original play Tom Thumb, he kills Tom Thumb’s ghost after the little man is eaten by a cow, for which Grizzle is slain by Huncamunca. In the revised Tragedy of Tragedies, Tom Thumb kills Grizzle in battle.
