Adar Rhiannon

‘Birds of Rhiannon’

Three supernatural birds, belonging to the goddess Rhiannon. They were said to

wake the dead and lull the living to sleep.

Culhwch had a task given to him by Ysbaddaden Bencawr – to retrieve the birds for them to soothe him on his last night of life.
