Acquitain

In Eilhart von Oberge’s Tristrant, an evil little dwarf whose astrological powers won him a place in Mark’s court. He divined the affair between Tristan and Isolde, and conspired to expose it to Mark.

Acquitain appears in Béroul as Frocin, and in Gottfried von Strassburg as Melot from Aquitaine.
