Adaon ab Taliesin

Addaon, Afaon

One of Arthur’s warriors in Welsh legend and noted for his wisdom.

The son of Taliesin the bard, his mother’s name is unknown.

Adaon was slain by Llawgad or Llongad Grwrm Eidyn (Llawgad Trwm Bargod Eidyn). The Triads note cryptically that Afaon avenged his death from the grave.

Adaon is named in the Triads as one of the Three Battle-Leaders of the Island of Britain.
