Eliazar

Eleser, Eliazer, Eliezar, Eliezer, Elizer, Elyezer, Heliezer, Helizer, Helyezer, Helyser

He was a holy knight, the son of King Pellam, uncle of Elaine the White (Elaine of Astolat) and an uncle of Galahad, living at Carbonek.

Eliazar brought back from Mategrant’s castle to Carbonek the broken sword with which Joseph had been wounded. Eliazar fought a tournament with symbolic overtones.

Curiously, Eliazar is not among the twelve knights who represented the twelve apostles at the Mass celebrated by Joseph in Carbonek during the climax of the Grail adventures. Indeed, Pellam, Eliazar, and “a maid which was [Pellam’s] niece” must specifically be sent out of the room before the Mysteries can begin.
