Albion

The Patriarch of the Atlantic.

A benign seagiant who has a special concern for the people of England. Problably they are his descendants, because early inhabitants of the nation were called Albiones. When the Romans invaded England they thought his name must derive from the white cliffs of Dover, since Albiones resembles the word for 'white' in the Roman tounge. They named the country Albion without knowing that they honoured the Patriarch.
