Albine

Two entries with the name Albine.

Albine

One of the fourteen daughters of King Diodicias of Syria. She married King Sardacia of Damascus.

Albine and her sisters revolted against their husbands, planning to form a matriarchy. They failed, and Albine and her sisters were exiled. They came to Britain, which at the time was unpopulated, and Albine named the island Albion after herself.

Albine and her sisters became the mistresses of devils and gave birth to a race of giants that Brutus was fated to conquer.
