Introduction#

A kinsman of Lancelot and one of the Knights of the Round Table. Inspired by the fame and achievements of his illustrious relative, Aban joined Arthur’s fellowship and sought to emulate Lancelot’s chivalric reputation.

A Grail Knight#

Aban later participated in the Grail Quest, joining the many knights who embarked upon the search for the Holy Grail. Though he plays only a minor role in the surviving romances, his inclusion among the Grail knights reflects the broad reach of Arthur’s fellowship and the prestige associated with Lancelot’s family.
