The son of Alexander of Greece and Soredamors, nephew of Emperor Alis, and hero of Chrétien de Troyes' Cligés. Renowned for his prowess and loyalty, Cligés ultimately succeeded to the Byzantine throne alongside his beloved Fenice.

Knight of the Round Table

Sir Cligés was a Knight of the Round Table who appears in several Arthurian romances. Although he shares his name with Chrétien's Cligés, the two are generally regarded as separate characters.
