Morda

Mordu

The blind man placed by Ceridwen to kindle the fire under the cauldron stirred by Gwion Bach in which she was brewing a magical potion.

When Gwion Bach ran away after imbibing the potency of the brew, Cerridwen at first blamed Morda and beat him so hard over the head with a billet of wood that one eye fell out onto his cheek. When Morda protested his innocence, Ceridwen stopped and saw that he was telling the truth, for it had been Gwion Bach who had spoiled her work.
