Nebunal of Mycenae

Nabunal of Mycene

One of the twelve who accompanied Alexander from Greece to Britain, where Arthur knighted them all at the outset of Count Angrs’ rebellion.

Chrétien calls Nabunal very wise: when Alexander with thirty followers had infiltrated Windsor and pursued Angrs with his few surviving armed men to the keep, it was Nabunal who advised Alexander to have their outer approaches blocked so that the townspeople could not come to the rebel lord’s help. This advice, carried out just in time, saved the day for Alexander and, thus, for Arthur.

Nabunal apparently survived the fighting, but Chrétien tells us nothing more about him.
