Baudouin of Brittany

Baudouin is a hermit of noble birth. The present belief about how the ancient hermits lived is not right at all. They were both psychotherapist and a doctor, and their wodden hut were always open for knights in need of confession or medical treatment after tournaments or battles with bandits and dragons.

Lancelot were staying for long times with hermits, among them Baudouin, and ended his life with an episcopal hermit. To the advantage of the knights the hermits often took young maidens as nurses. To be able to have fullfilled their duties right they must have had medical equipment as well as a well-filled larder of food and wine.
