   The Welsh term for the parts of what is now southern Scotland and northern England in the years between 500 and the Viking invasions of c. 800. Scholars use the term Hen Ogledd, or 'Old North' from Welsh poetry to refer to kingdoms in Britain, such as Rheged.

   Son of Erim, one of five brothers, and one of Arthur’s warriors. He could ran faster than any animal. He is probably identical with a similar character called Anwas the Winged.
