Abada

Abath, Arase, Bada, Nillekma

A mythological animal similar to a unicorn in Kurdufan, a former province in central Sudan.

This brown animal has two crooked horns - one from the centre of its head and one smaller on the nose - and the larger one has magical properties acting as an antidote to poison.

The description of the abada is: Size of a small donkey and a tail of a boar. Some claim it has a head of a bear, others it can breath ice and fire.

Origin: Kurdufan (Sudan)
