Abarimon
The name of a country and its inhabitants.
This legendary race of people had backwards feet, ran fast and were savage. They lived with wild animals in a valley of Mount Imaus (Himalayan Mountains). The name translates to 'mountain-people'. They were, despite their backwards feet, very fast runners.

The Roman author, naturalist and natural philosopher, Gaius Plinius Secundus (known as Pliny the Elder, AD 23 - August 25, AD 79), described the Abarimon people in the book Natural History. The author and grammarian Aulus Gellius (c. 125 - after 180 AD) also wrote about them in his Attic Nights.
