Caipora

Caipora is a creature of the tupi-guarani mythology in Brazil.

Caipora is represented as a dark-skinned, small indian, naked with a very long black mane or covered with fur and usually smoking a cigar or riding a great Pecari. Other depict him as a stout hairy anthropomorphic being with the head of a fox. Sometimes it is said that to deceive trackers, his feet are turned backwards.

Caipora is known as a forest dweller, as a king of the animals of sorts and very vengeful of hunters who don't respect the rules of "fair-play" when hunting. It is told that it scares away prey and hides animal tracks or makes hunters lose their way in the jungle. Caipora appreciates smoke and cachaça (Brazilian drink) or a small present that look like a wooden pig.
