Palalune

In La Tavola Ritonda, the Cornish wilderness where Isolde sent her squires and her maidservant Brangain.

Isolde had instructed the squires to slay Brangain because she thought that Brangain might tell Mark of her affair with Tristan (Tristram). The squires took pity on the woman and spared her. She and Isolde were later reconciled. This episode appears in numerous Tristan romances, but the forest is generally not named.
