Clovis
Merovingian ruler of the Franks, born AD 465, the grandson of Merovich.
In AD 481 he succeeded his father, Childeric I, as King of the Salian Franks, and spent his entire life expanding the Frankish kingdom. When he died in AD 511, in his capital, Paris, the kingdom was divided equally between his four sons, who eagerly continued the expansion begun by their father.
The anonymous romance Palamedes says that Clovis was a direct ancestor of Guiron.
