Federion the Red

In La Tavola Ritonda, a mortally wounded knight who showed up at Arthur’s court just after Lancelot’s knighting.

Lancelot accepted the quest to avenge Federion, but he does not complete the quest in the Tavola. Federion’s mother, named Tessina, was later saved by Tristan (Tristram).

A similar knight appears in the Vulgate Lancelot as Melian the Gay.
