Gippa

In La Tavola Ritonda, a city ruled by Count Albroino, the enemy of Tristan’s father-in-law, King Gilierchino (Gilierchins).

When Albroino was slain in combat, Gilierchino, with Tristan’s help, besieged and conquered it. Gilierchino gave it to Tristan (Tristram), who in turn bestowed it on a knight named Statuano.

The name may be a corruption of Agrippe, the name of the count himself in the Prose Tristan.
