The hero of the thirteenth-century romance that carries his name.

A knight who obtained a second sword because he was the only one able to unfasten a swordbelt which Lore, Lady of Garadigan, brought to Arthur's court. He was therefore known as the Knight of the Two Swords (a title also given to Balin).

He eventually married Lore.
