Nightbringer | The Arthurian Online Encyclopedia

Nightbringer.se goes WordPress

I am working on rebuilding the page to WordPress, which may take a while considering the amount of data.

In the meantime, you can always access the older website here: Nightbringer.se anno 2019

Thank you for visiting Nightbringer and all the best!

As someone who loves reading medieval Arthurian texts, I often find obscure names that stump me, so I visit the relevant section of your site at least once a month. I’m so thrilled to see it’s getting a new home! Hope everything goes great!

I was a bit scared when my bookmarks stopped working, because this has been one of my most used websites when searching for breadth of knowledge on Arthurian Myth, and certainly a great starting point for going further down the rabbit hole on characters I didn’t know about before. Glad to see it hasn’t simply vanished off the face of the earth, because I really appreciate what you’ve done here now that I’ve gotten into this medieval world.

    Hi there Larissa!
The work is huge to move over everything, but it will be worth it in the end I hope. Feel free to shout if you encounter any problems =).

    Hi there,
I would be fascinated to know where you got your information on the sons and descendants of Albanact(us) – Embrunt etc

    Cheers,

    Giles

    Hi Giles!

That entry about Albanact is from Arthurian Name Dictionary (Christopher W. Bruce).

    His sources are:
Geoffrey of Monmouth, Historia Regum Britanniae (c. 1138)
Wace, Roman de Brut (c. 1155)
    Palamedes (c. 1240)

    All my best,
    Veronica
