An enigmatic figure in Andreas’s De Amore. The King of Love wrote the thirty-one “Rules of Love” onto a parchment, which fell into the hands of an unnamed “Briton” knight when he won a hawk from Arthur’s court.
Like Father Time or Mother Nature, the “King of Love” is more metaphorical than corporeal.
