Aliers de Caringues, Aliers de Thaningues, Aliers de Tanningues
One of Arthur’s knights who joined the fighting against the Saxons in the early days of Arthur’s reign. When fourteen of Alier’s sons were killed in a single battle against the Saxons, he retired to a hermitage, giving his remaining son, Marec, to be raised by the Lady of Roestoc.
Alier abandoned his robe for his sword when Marec was later dispossessed by Sir Seguarades.
