Carhuls
Carhules is an ancient manor house situated in the parish of Tywardreath, which is close to Castle Dore. The house has a long history, dating back to the medieval period. It was originally a fortified manor house, but it has since been altered and rebuilt over the centuries. Carhules is known for its distinctive architecture and picturesque setting.
The building appears to have been named after a person called Gourles, who was perhaps the original of Gorlois.
