Castle of Pellehan, Palace of Adventures, le Palais Aventureux
An enchanted section of the castle Corbenic (Carbonek) where the Grail was kept.
Full of marvels and enchantments, it was considered a sign of bravery to have spent the night there. Both Bors and Lancelot did so – the latter to cure his madness (the presence of the Grail drove a demon out of him).
The Palace was constructed by Alan (Alain the Large) and Joshua in the time of Joseph of Arimathea. King Calafes (Kalafes), the lord of the Strange Land, died after impiously sleeping in the palace. According to the Third Continuation of Chrétien’s Perceval, Perceval and the Fisher King were buried in the palace.
