Ron

Arthur’s lance or spear,

long, broad in the blade and thirsty for slaughter.

It was one of the finest weapons ever made.

Arthur carried it at the battle of Bath against the Saxons. It is mentioned under this name by Geoffrey of Monmouth and would seem to equate with Rhongomynyad, Arthur’s spear, which appears in the Mabinogion story of Culhwch and Olwen.

Ron is also the name of the sword wielded by Gawain’s brother, Gareth. It is described as a formidable weapon and is often associated with Gareth’s valor and skill in battle. Ron is sometimes depicted as a companion to Excalibur, symbolizing the close bond between the two brothers.
