The fourth of the world’s wisest creatures that Arthur’s warriors, who assisted Culhwch, consulted on their quest to find the imprisoned Mabon. The Eagle sent them on to the Salmon of Llyn Llw.
In the Triads, the Eagle is listed among the “three Elders of the World”, and some sources make the Salmon older than the Eagle.
