Galvariun

Galvarium

One of Arthur’s warriors, depicted on the Modena Archivolt (underside of an arch in Modena Cathedral) as part of a troop who rode to rescue Guenevere from Marduc of the Dolorous Tower (Mardoc). This knight appears nowhere else, in either literature or art.

The name is possibly a variation of Gawaine, but another character named Galvagin – more properly identified with Gawaine – appears on the same sculpture.

Galvariun has also been identified with Galleron.
