Gogfran the Giant

Father of Guenevere in Welsh legend.

In the Triads, he is the father of only one of three queens named Guinevere, but a Welsh translation of Geoffrey of Monmouth’s Historia makes him the father of the Guinevere.

A fourteenth century poet wrote a poem about Melwas abducting Gogfran’s daughter from Caerllion.
