Gwlyddyn the Carpenter

Gluydyn Saer, Glwyddyn, Glwydyn

Culhwch names him as Arthur’s master architect and builder whom constructed Arthur’s dining hall, called Ehangwen (in earlier sources it is unnamed). He was slain by the boar Twrch Trwyth during the epic hunt.

T.F. O’Rahilly suggests his name, Glwyddyn, may be a form of Gwydion, that of a Celtic god, the son of Nodens.
