Hern
The leader of the Wild Hunt.
He was a legendary antlered giant who is said still to live in the forests of Windsor Great Park and who probably owes his existence to the cult of Cernunnos, of whom he is undoubtedly a lingering memory.
He has even been linked with Robin Hood, some making the link as that hero’s father, although this is extremely tenuous, for Herne the Hunter is, without doubt, a far older figure.
