King of the Watch


A nobleman who lodged Gawain while the latter was on a quest for the Grail Sword.

The King made Gawain promise to return and show him the sword once Gawain had obtained it. When Gawain kept his promise, the King of the Watch stole the sword, but priests made him return it.
