Leigamar of Sorgarda


Count of Sorgarda.

He threw a tournament at his castle to decide who would marry his daughter, FlursensephinGawain won the tournament but declined to wed the maiden. At his suggestion, Flursensephin was awarded to Sir Quoikos, a friend of Gawain.

Analogs to Leigamar appear in Chrétien’s Perceval as Tiebaut and in Wolfram’s Parzival as Lyppaut.
