Galafort

Galefort

The first Christian British castle which Joseph of Arimathea and his followers entered.

Celidoine, Nascien’s son, converted Duke Ganor of Galafort, and the castle became a home for Joseph of Arimathea’s followers. It was named after Galahad, Joseph’s son, who was born there.

It served as the home of the Grail until Alan and Joshua left Galafort and founded Corbenic (Carbonek). It the Vulgate Lancelot, it is owned by the Sister of Meleagant (Meleagaunce), although this may be a different castle.

At Joseph’s advice, Duke Ganor, who then held the castle, erected there the Tower of Marvels, where no knight of Arthur’s would fail to find a jouster as good as himself. The duke also began a Church of the Holy Virgin at Galafort.
