Arcois li Flamens

Arquois li Flameins, Arquois Flamengs

A brave knight from Flanders in the service of King Claudas.

Arcois spoke up against Claudas when Claudas suggested that he might go to war with Arthur. Claudas respected Arcois’ honesty and sense of justice, and he made Arcois the constable of his court.

In the Vulgate, Arcois accompanies Claudas to England and is there knighted by him.
