Fauviel

Gawaine’s horse in Les Merveilles de Rigomer, from the French word fauve, meaning “beast.”

Gawaine lost the horse when he was robbed and imprisoned at the castle Fors Graviers, but recovered it when he slew Lord Bauduins of Wanglent, who had somehow come into possession of it.

The episode mirrors Gawaine’s loss and recovery of Gringolet in the Grail romances.
