First Conquered King

Roi Premier Conquis des Marches de Galonne

A vassal of Galehaut whom the latter loved and trusted most – the other was the King of the Hundred Knights.

He fought in the battles against Arthur before Galehaut and Arthur made peace. Lancelot defeated him in combat.

The First Conquered King was so named because he was the first of many kings whose lands (the Borders of Galone) Galehaut conquered.

The Vulgate Merlin gives him the proper name of Cleolas.
