A Mediterranean kingdom.

One of the noble Byzantine warriors that Alexander's brought to Britain from Constantinople. Arthur knighted them all at the ouset of Count Angrs' rebellion, Calcedor was killed by Angrs himself during the climactic fighting.

Calcedor's tincture was apparently gold and Chrétien notes that he came from the "African regions".
