Lady of the Launds
Her "nigh cousin", King Anguish of Ireland, held a tournament to find her a husband. And what man won her, three days after he should wed her and have all her lands. This cry was made in England, Wales, Scotland, and also in France and Brittany.
Both Palomides and Tristram fought in this tournament; Palomides at first was winning, but Tristram (rather surprisingly urged thereto by La Beale Isoud) bested the Saracen and made him swear not to bear arms for a year.
Everybody seems to have forgotten completely that the original purpose of the tournament was to find the Lady of the Launds a mate.
