Knight of Two Shields
Beaudos, Biausdous

Gawaine’s son in Robert de Blois’ Fair Unknown romance.

Born to Amie, the daughter of the King of Wales, Beaudous set out to win fame and fortune when he came of age. He called himself the Knight of Two Shields.

By drawing a sword called Honoree from its sheath, he proved himself worthy to marry a princess named Biauté (Beauté), daughter of the King of the Isles. After saving Biauté from Madoines, a competing suitor, Beaudous married her.
