Bilis

Bilei, Ebilis, Wilis

Bilis was Lord of the Dwarfs and the King of the Antipodes. He was the shortest of them all, yet he was full brother to Brien, a giant (or he might just be the tallest of the dwarves).

Chrétien lists him among Arthur’s vassal kings, summoned to court for Erec’s wedding. To show off his splendor, Bilis brought two vassal kings of his own, Grigoras and Glecidalan (Gribalo and Glodoalan), also dwarfs.

The Norse Erex Saga names his brothers as Brattur and Revellus. R. S. Loomis (Tradition, 142) thought that he was to be identified with Pelles, having originated in the Welsh Beli.
