A duke who ruled the Turning Isle (Turnance).
Formis and his four knights guarded the lady Abinors, Formis’s lover, who had been imprisoned on the island by Merlin.
Arthur, Gawaine, Yder, and Urien came to the Turning Isle and defeated Formis and his companions in combat.
