The daughter of Locrinus by his mistress Estrildis.
After Locrinus had been killed in a battle against his estranged wife Gwendolen, Habren and her mother were drowned by Gwendolen in a river. Gwendolen, however, decreed that the river should, thenceforth, carry Habren’s name in honour of the fact that she was Locrinus’ daughter.
The River Habren became known as the River Sabrina to the Romans, and is today known as the River Severn.
