The King of Sorcha had been murdered by his brother who assumed the crown and locked up the ex-queen, who was pregnant, in a tower. She gave birth and the child was carried away by an eagle which brought him to Arthur’s court, where he was given the name (meaning “Eagle Boy”) and raised as Arthur’s adopted son.
