Magan, Malgantius, Maugat, Maygan
One of King Vortigern’s advisors and a wise man.
He was in attendance when Merlin and his mother were brought before Vortigern, who had been seeking a child without a father so he could sprinkle his blood on the base of Snowdon. Merlin’s mother explained that she had been impregnated by a demon. Maugantius confirmed the validity of her story, saying that such demons were known as incubus, thus saying it was possible for virgin birth to occur.
