Peris de Forest Savage

This knight, who apparently operated near the vicinity of Sir Turquine’s tower, was in the habit of haunting a fair highway in order to distress all the ladies and gentlewomen, ravising or at least robbing them.

As Sir Turquine watched to destroy knights, so did this knight attend to destroy and distress ladies, damosels, and gentlewomen.

An unnamed damsel describes his depredations to Lancelot, led the great knight to the vicinity, and then rode ahead as bait, bringing out Sir Peris so that Lancelot could kill him.
