Ffynnon Cegin Arthur

“Arthur’s Kitchen Well”
Ffynnon Arthur

This well is situated in the village of Beddgelert, not far from Caernarfon in Wales.

King Arthur and his warriors would stop at Ffynnon Arthur to quench their thirst during their journeys. According to the local folklore, the water of Ffynnon Cegin Arthur is said to appear oily or greasy, and this was attributed to the animal fat and leftovers from the feasts prepared in King Arthur’s kitchen.
