Mount Aravius

Araby, Aravia, Derane, Ravinity

The mountain where Arthur overcame and slew the giant Ritho (Rience) in Geoffrey’s chronicle.

The name seems to be a Latin form of Eryri, the Welsh name for Mount Snowdon. Layamon calls it “Mount Ravinity,” which may be either a corruption or a deliberate variation.
