Rhiw Barfe

“The Way of the Bearded One”

A path that runs down the hill from Bwlch-y-GroesNorth Wales.

It is so called for it is held that the dead Rhitta was thrown down this path to his grave at Tan-y-Bwlch.

Notes
Rhiw is Welsh for ascent and slope. It probably came from eh, meaning a way, a course.
